Foamex (PVC foam board) is the premium indoor display and signage substrate. Rigid, lightweight, and with a smooth surface that reproduces print with gallery-quality sharpness, foamex boards are used for exhibition display panels, retail feature walls, framed artwork prints, and any interior display where a flat, professional-looking result is required.
Unlike correx boards, foamex has a dense, smooth surface with no fluting — this makes it ideal for close-up viewing at exhibitions, showrooms, and retail environments where the quality of the print surface matters.

Preparing your Foam Boards artwork
Full artwork guide- Supply artwork at the actual print size with 3mm bleed in CMYK colour mode.
- Resolution: 150–300 DPI at final print size. Foamex boards are often viewed at close range — higher resolution matters more than for outdoor correx signage.
- Foamex is available in 3mm and 5mm thicknesses. Specify which you need when ordering.
- For wall-mounted foamex, consider whether you need pre-drilled holes or self-adhesive backing applied — contact us if you need these options.
- Avoid very thin fonts or fine lines — while foamex reproduces detail well, very fine elements may not hold at large sizes.
- Embed fonts or convert all text to outlines before exporting.
Turnaround & delivery
Foamex boards are typically produced in 3–5 working days from artwork approval. Boards are packaged carefully for transit to all NI postcodes.

Foamex (PVC foam) has a dense, smooth surface ideal for close-up indoor viewing and premium display applications. Correx (corrugated plastic) is lighter and better suited for outdoor temporary signage where viewing distance is greater.
We offer 3mm and 5mm foamex. 3mm is standard for most exhibition and display applications. 5mm is heavier and more rigid, useful for large panels that need to remain completely flat when wall-mounted.
Yes — foamex boards can be drilled and screwed directly to walls, or fixed with strong double-sided tape (available from DIY stores). Contact us if you need pre-drilled mounting holes.
Foamex can tolerate short-term outdoor use but is primarily an indoor substrate. For longer-term outdoor signage, correx board or aluminium composite would be more appropriate.
