About Half Fold Leaflets from PCR Print
A folded leaflet gives you more surface area than a flat flyer without increasing print or postage costs. The fold creates structure — panels that open in a specific sequence guide the reader through information in the order you intend. This makes folded leaflets particularly effective for multi-step narratives: service overviews, process explanations, tour guides, or brochure-format product information.
We produce tri-fold, half-fold, and Z-fold leaflets at our Lisburn press in A4 and A3 base formats, on 130gsm and 170gsm stocks. Preparing your Half Fold Leaflets artwork

- For a standard A4 tri-fold, each panel is approximately 99mm × 210mm. Outer panels may be fractionally narrower than the inner to allow clean folding.
- Include 3mm bleed on all outer edges. Keep content at least 3mm from fold lines — content that crosses a fold disappears into the crease.
- Colour mode must be CMYK at 300 DPI at print size.
- Avoid placing continuous text or images that cross fold lines — each panel should read independently.
- Check the reading order of panels when folded — the front cover must be the first panel the reader sees when the leaflet is closed.
Turnaround & delivery
Folded leaflets are typically produced in 2–3 working days from artwork approval. Collect from Lisburn or choose courier delivery anywhere in Northern Ireland.

Tri-fold is the default for most brochures — it is the most widely recognised format and fits DL envelopes. Half-fold suits content that reads as an inner spread (like a guide or map). Z-fold is best for structured sequential content or situations where each panel needs to function independently.

Yes — an A4 tri-fold finishes at approximately DL size (99 × 210mm), which fits a standard DL envelope without any further folding. This makes the tri-fold the most practical format for direct mail campaigns.
