Pavement Sign Printing in Lisburn & Belfast
A pavement sign (A-board or sandwich board) placed outside your premises is one of the highest-impact, lowest-cost forms of local advertising available. Every person who walks past your premises sees it — and for NI high street businesses, cafes, salons, and service providers, a well-designed pavement sign is often the most effective single marketing investment.
PCR Print produces pavement sign insert panels in A1 and A2 sizes, printed on durable PVC or rigid board material, ready to slot into standard A-board frames. We supply print panels only — frames are available from sign supply companies.

Pavement Signs buying guide
High-street signs that survive NI weather
A pavement sign has one job: stop someone walking past. Cafes, salons, estate agents and churches on Lisburn and Belfast streets use A-boards and directional signs to pull footfall. We print weather-resistant graphics from our Lisburn works and can advise on size and substrate for outdoor use. If you need the hardware as well as the print, ask when you order.
Who this printing is for
Retail & high street: Shops, boutiques, pharmacies, and service businesses on NI high streets attracting passing footfall. Hospitality: Cafes, restaurants, and bars displaying daily specials, menus, and offers to passing pedestrian traffic. Healthcare & beauty: Clinics, dentists, salons, and beauty therapists advertising services to local foot traffic. Professional services: Solicitors, estate agents, and financial advisors with high street offices attracting walk-in enquiries.
Artwork that prints cleanly
Supply artwork at A1 (841 × 594mm) or A2 (594 × 420mm) — check your A-board frame size before ordering. Include 3mm bleed on all sides in CMYK colour mode at 150 DPI minimum. Use bold, high-contrast typography readable from pavement distance (5–10 metres). Keep the message simple — one key offer, service, or call to action per panel is more effective than multiple messages. If your A-board takes double-sided inserts, supply artwork for both sides clearly labelled. Consider UV resistance — panels placed in direct sunlight will fade faster than those in covered positions.

Frequently asked questions
We supply print panels only — we do not supply A-board frames. Standard A-board frames are available from sign supply, display, and shop fitting companies.
Most standard A-boards take A1 (841 × 594mm) or A2 (594 × 420mm) panels. Measure your existing frame or check the specification of the frame you are purchasing before ordering.
In typical NI outdoor conditions, PVC or board panels last from several months to a full year depending on sun exposure and weather. Panels in covered positions last significantly longer.
Yes — this is one of the advantages of A-boards. Cafes and restaurants often update their specials panel weekly or monthly. Ordering in small quantities makes frequent changes practical.
Yes — double-sided pavement sign panels are available for A-boards that display on both faces. Supply two separate artworks clearly labelled Side A and Side B.
